Overview
The Upper Don Trail Trust is working to create a continuous, traffic-free cycling and walking route from Stocksbridge to Sheffield city centre, offering an eleven-mile stretch of beautiful riverside paths for cycling, walking, kayaking, and running.
Brief
Capturing a comprehensive aerial and ground film to showcase The Upper Don Trail and surrounding developments, with a focus on drone video and interviews to illustrate the key areas.
Approach
Being a medium form video, this project required a significant amount of up front planning and organisation with interviewees, gaining location permissions for drone operations, directing and visual story-telling.
Outcome
The project was shown at The Showroom Cinema to a full live audience and was recieved extremely well. Many parts of the trail have since been updated, such as the archway for pedestrians in Kelham Island.
