Kelham was commissioned by Total Management Group to help plan, film and edit the cinematic opening video for Robinhood's inaugural European keynote, "To Catch a Token," held at a private château in Cannes, France. Inspired by Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief, the shoot spanned multiple days across the South of France using drones and car-mounted rigs on a vintage Jaguar to capture a movie-like sequence that opened the CEO's keynote address, announcing Robinhood's new crypto products and Bitstamp acquisition to a global audience of 21M+ livestream viewers.
Planning & Testing
At our base in the UK, we took numerous opportunities to test ambitious angles on our stunt car; giving the client a viceral understanding of the shots we were aiming to capture.
Shot Blocking
As part of our planning, we try to block shots, which means recreating a scene before rolling the cameras. These examples were captured at our studio in Sheffield and on location, ensuring our shooting time was efficient; keeping things on track from concept to completion at their live showing.
Teamwork
As a team, we successfully manoeuvered through a series of complex production challenges; including blown tyres in the mountains, long French lunch breaks, inner city driving, language barriers and more. Safe to say we all left very happy with the outcome, with it being watched by over 21+ Million viewers.
