Buy Association Group is a UK property development group, investing and funding sites in high demand areas across the UK.
Brief
The brief set by BA association was to highlight Digbeth’s proximity to Birmingham Central and the ability to work in the heart of the city whilst holding residence at one of Birmingham’s most up and coming suburbs. BA gave us a list of locations of independent retailers, co-working spaces and F&B vendors it wanted included within the video. Highlighting Digbeth’s alignment in culture with remote working young professionals.
Approach
Capturing an authentic lived experience was our key aim. We partnered with local talent who fit the description of first time buyers who value independent retail. We planned a full days shoot in the suburban area of Digbeth with a clear list of locations to hit. The budget only allowed for a one production day, so it was essential that we progressed through our shotlist efficiently. One way we achieved this was by splitting our production team into two so that we could work simultaneously in the heart of Birmingham as well as in the heart of Digbeth. We contacted the independent retailers in advance to seek permissions to film in their spaces, offering each retailer a slot in our promotional video of Birmingham’s thriving suburbs.
Outcome
By working with BA, we developed a lifestyle video which successfully helped convey what life is like for young professionals working in Manchester residing in Stockport. BA used this video as part of its marketing campaign to sell their newly developed properties in the suburb of Stockport. BA successfully sold every property it had developed using our video as part of its sales pitch to prospective buyers. After this campaign's success, BA went on to procure development opportunities within a wider national scale. Eventually returning to us for similar videos in different developing suburbs across the UK.
